Accounting Analyst

The Role
LeafLink is looking for an experienced and dynamic Accounting Analyst to join our growing Finance team. As an Accounting Analyst, you will work closely with the accounting team as we continue to streamline our reporting, as well as provide senior executives with the accurate financial data needed to make key business decisions. The ideal candidate has experience with improving accounting related processes, while also keeping focused on day-to-day business requirements. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are key attributes for this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely journal entries, bank reconciliations, and roll-forwards for balance sheet and P&L ledgers
- Drive process improvements to the monthly close with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide requested documentation and ensure audit requirements are met
- Responsible for month end close activities, including proper posting of bills and invoices as well as maintaining various balance sheet reports.
- Create customer invoices and respond to customer accounting and billing related inquiries
- Communicate with past due customers to collect past due invoices and reduce average days outstanding
- Work cross functionally with other departments for ad hoc requests, including vendor inquiries, accounting analysis, and intercompany entries
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee questions regarding adherence to T&E policy and proper use of third-party expense management platform
Qualifications
- 1-3 Years of experience in accounting, month-end close, account reconciliation, AP/AR
- Comfortable with various Excel functions, including pivot tables, sumifs, and Vlookups
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and complete tasks in a rapidly changing environment
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced and ambiguous environment where there's not a set playbook on how to solve each problem. Must manage multiple tasks while adapting to changing priorities
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Experience with Tableau, Sage-Intacct, Planful is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Public accounting experience from a ‘Big 4’ accounting firm is preferred
- Start-up and high growth company experience is a bonus but not a requirement
