How you'll make an impact at Collibra:

As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will help grow and coach our expanding team of AP Accountants in our new operational hub of Atlanta. As their leader, you will be our go-to person for billing issues, GL coding, and policy enforcement as we scale to a global, world-class company. Monthly duties include ensuring a timely AP close, monthly AP reconciliations, and expense reimbursement management. Quarterly and year-end duties will include audit support, tidy AP Agings and zero-balance clearing accounts. We also have a number of process improvement initiatives that will provide great experience for our ideal candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-funded, high growth start-up. 

A day in the life of a Accounts Payable Manager at Collibra:

You’ll be reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting, and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Leading the global Accounts Payable function
  • Managing the current team and assisting in future scaling of the A/P department
  • Managing A/P agings, ensuring correct and timely payments for all suppliers
  • Investigating and solving billing issues and odd vendor balances
  • Responsible for monthly and year-end closing process of the A/P function
  • Responsible for A/P related items during audit
  • Driving automation / taking the lead in implementing improvements to our accounting ERP system (including auto-feed of corporate card transactions and expense reports)
  • Creating and implementing appropriate P2P controls / streamlining accounts payable procedures

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Strong leadership skills, but be willing to help the team process when needed
  • Superior knowledge of processing AP within Netsuite
  • Experience with processing and paying bills in different currencies within Netsuite
  • Hands-on experience in implementing processes for scale
  • Have experience reconciling AP and understand how to follow audit trails and solve debit balances or other AP anomalies
  • Preferred to have some general accounting knowledge/experience, such as posting journal entries and experience with inter-company payables
  • Excellent communication skills, as communicating with budget owners and bill approvers is required
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
