Business Development and Strategy Consultant
Position Summary:
The primary focus of the Business Development and Strategy Consultant will be to develop Stray’s business model. They will also design and implement a structure and process to assess the feasibility of ideas and create actionable initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Develop Stray’s business model
a) Explore various financial and business models appropriate for Stray's intended activity
b) Set short-term and long-term goals to guide the execution of project plans and the implementation of business strategy
2. Deal sourcing: Research investment opportunities that align with Stray values and business model
a) Leverage relationships within the VC, incubator/accelerator world, and seek out potential partnerships for business ventures
b) Ongoing awareness of markets and industry trends, including tax incentives and creative financing when applicable
Engagement: Three to six months for 10 to 20 hours per week. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Experience & Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years experience leading strategic planning initiatives.
- Experience with market and consumer research.
- Solid functional knowledge, including business development, financial modeling and feasibility, manufacturing, supply chain, product development, project management, and marketing and sales.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen.
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate others, communicate complex ideas clearly, gain the respect of colleagues, and work collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial and results-driven achiever.
