About the Role
We're looking for someone to own commission and compensation for all revenue teams globally. As our only Commission Analyst, you will work alongside FP&A, Revenue as well as partnering closely with Sales, Account Management and Business Development teams. You’ll be responsible for understanding each commission plan and facilitating them. You’ll need to be analytical with a finance background, but also sales minded since you’ll be the POC for the revenue-producing teams.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly variable compensation processing, validation, analysis and distribution of compensation reports. Ensure plan calculations are accurate, communicated properly, and completed in a timely manner
- Provide ongoing standard and ad-hoc reports and analysis of historical, current and prospective sales commission activity
- Analyzing the cost of commission per Sales group, and ensuring no deviations from the budgeted target
- Communicating and addressing any questions and queries Sales team have in relation to their compensation
- Estimate commission accruals for month-end financial close and provide data to Accounting and Finance as needed
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies or exceptions and effectively communicate outcomes with the Sales team
- Serve as the trusted commission advisor to help the Sales team understand their plan, attainment, and earnings
- Provide insights on sales and performance; evaluate and analyze trends
- Serve as a point of contact for commission related questions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a compensation analytics role, ideally at a high growth SaaS company
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite skills
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including ASC-606 - advantage
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail
