The Director will play a crucial role in shaping the finance organization and our processes as we scale! Reporting to the CFO, this is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced finance professional to provide strategic impact through the organization. This role will work cross-functionally to optimize financial performance through enhanced reporting and transparency.
What you'll be doing:
FP&A:
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and three-year planning process
Lead company BVA process: compare financial forecasts and budget to actual financial performance, interpret results and variances, and give guidance on necessary course corrections
Partner with business leads to translate strategic initiatives and operational goals into a financial outlook
Work closely with department leads and business leads to provide transparency, literacy and insights into the financial performance of their business units
Create detailed models to forecast revenue by revenue stream and channel. Collaborate with Revenue Operations to ensure real-time transparency to all stakeholders.
Strategic Analysis:
Support strategic planning processes across revenue channels, and new business evaluations with returns analyses
Create detailed financial, scenario-based models to evaluate investment priorities and evaluate potential alternatives
Provide a framework for reporting and optimizing, unit economics (LTV/CAC)
Partner with business leaders and BI to define, measure, and improve performance of KPI’s and SAAS metrics
Build partnerships with business leaders by identifying opportunities and challenges that optimize business unit performance, project management, and decision support. Prepare and report findings with business leaders; brainstorming with peers to generate business improvement and strategic initiatives based on information
Support build/buy discussions with ROI analyses
Corporate Development & Investor Relations:
Support creation of board and investor materials
Play a key role in fundraising and m&a activities with detailed models and due diligence support, as well as reporting on deals/transactions in our landscape
Support investor relations and financial reporting processes
Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Financial Operations:
Support CFO and Controller to optimize financial operations including AR, AP, payroll and compensation, financial policy (ex: T&E, budget approval, etc), insurance, compliance, tax
Support risk management efforts as necessary
Partner with CFO and Controller to facilitate GAAP compliance
What we expect from you:
- MBA preferred (not required)
- 7-10 yrs experience in total (mix of IB and in-house at fast-growing, preferable VC backed)
- Calm under pressure, moves quickly, ability to work with unknowns and translate data into conclusions
- Superior excel skills
- B2B Saas background or healthcare services background
- Investment banking analyst / consultant background or corporate development a plus
- Embodies company values
- Knowledge of salesforce, netsuite a plus
