Job Description

Are you an organized person with a passion for numbers and accounting? Do you enjoy recording, analyzing and managing financial accounts? Are you reliable, excellent at math, guru in excel and able to communicate effectively to various departments? 

If so, you are the at the right place! We are looking for someone who will be instrumental in growing the organization and its accounting needs. A person who wants to develop their role at our company and make it their own in the sports betting industry. We want innovators, we want doers!

This role will be the starting point of the finance department and the main finance person for Tipico USA. This person needs to be a bit of a generalist, starting very operational handling everything from preparing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings, as well as providing financial advice to support our company’s decision making. There is a lot of room to grow into a more senior role within the organization and we are looking for someone who wants to develop their career with us.

The Finance Manager will be report directly to the Managing Director and work together with the rest of the management team and business operations.

  • Manage relationship with banks, authorities and relevant finance suppliers.
  • Be the main business owner and responsible person for Navision booking system and its data.
  • Build the financial department and its policies and processes. 
  • Performing day to day accounting tasks including invoice processing, journal and bank postings, revenue reconciliations.
  • Support the statutory audit process and preparation of audit files.
  • Record, classify and summarize financial transactions and expenditure in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Preparation of monthly betting taxes reports and authority / casino reporting.
  • Be the main contact to the group finance, take the USA general ledger and help in maintaining and reconciling to the Group’s General ledger. Be the supporting finance entity to the group.
  • Establishing and maintaining supplier accounts and monitoring customer accounts for any provisions.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of bank statements as required.
  • Improve and automate existing manual processes in line with the needs of the finance department.
  • Embrace business intelligence tools available and find ways to automate reporting.
  • Providing financial reporting and assistance to managing director and as well as other functions within the Group on ad hoc queries, tasks, etc.
  • Provide FP&A insights, monitor budget vs actual and keep a close eye on day to day spending.

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years’ experience in accounting or an accounting related field
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • In-depth experience with any of the leading booking systems 
  • Strong business focus with the ability to provide data driven business insights and recommendations 
  • Extensive experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • A high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Good analytical skills, ability to analyze numbers and generate insights 
  • Ability to multitask and in possession of sound problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are a self-starter, who has a high degree of motivation to work in a fast-paced environment
