Global Senior Tax Associate
The Global Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for a wide variety of US and foreign indirect and direct tax compliance and provision processes. This individual will work cross functionally to support tax, working closely with the greater finance, financial planning and analysis, legal, human resources and payroll groups. In conjunction with the Global Senior Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to calculation and/or review of the quarterly income tax provision, creation of journal entries for tax accounts, review and reconciliation of tax entries, calculation of transfer pricing, coordinating with external advisors for compliance and other ad hoc special projects and preparation of various international compliance files for direct and indirect tax compliance. You will work directly with the VP, Global Tax and Global Senior Tax Manager to facilitate all aspects of accounting for income taxes across IAS’s global tax profile. Additional project-based work includes the pursuit of and associated compliance with credit & incentive awards, Federal and State audit management and transfer pricing design and implementation.
What you’ll get to do:
- Ensure the timely and accurate filing of Federal and State US Corporate Income Tax Returns
- Ensure timely delivery of information and feedback to local teams around the world for direct and indirect compliance
- Assist with timely preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual US tax provision
- Proactively manage and maintain provision and compliance deadlines
- Prepare and review tax adjustment reconciliations and tie-out of deferred tax assets/liabilities
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and compliance
- Support continuous improvements in tax provision process
- Assist with tax related audits and notices issued by tax authorities
- Address tax department inquiries from internal and external business partners
- Assist and support other team members of the tax function by performing ad hoc tax analyses, analytical support, and assistance with other special projects as needed
- Remain current on tax law changes and changes in the business activities of the company
- Ensure all supporting documents are complete for record keeping
You should apply if you have most of this experience:
- Someone with excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- A high-energy individual with strong work ethic
- Bachelor's (required)
- Masters of Accounting,Masters of Taxation or JD Tax LLM (Strongly Preferred)
- CPA (Preferred but not required)
- Minimum 2 years working with a professional services firm, public tax advisory firm or in a corporate tax function
- Self-motivated with a sense of integrity and a commitment to constant improvement
- Able to forge relationships, create and maintain trust
- Someone who thrives handling multiple tasks in a deadline driven dynamic environment
- Skilled in advanced Excel and digital data manipulation
- Intacct experience a plus but not required
