The Role
LeafLink is looking for an experienced and highly-motivated Manager of Corporate FP&A to join our growing Finance team. They will report to the Director of Finance. The team is looking for a self-starter and entrepreneurial-minded individual who has a strong technical background and sharp focus on execution. This role will be the first FP&A hire at LeafLink. The candidate will be responsible for building and developing the FP&A practice as we continue to scale. In this role, you will drive high-impact strategic and operational initiatives, create & lead the development of management and board reporting, and facilitate the growth of our financial & business planning processes to support an increasingly complex business model. You will also take primary responsibility for our financial model as well as meaningfully contribute to our annual operating budget and multi-year plans.
Responsibilities
- Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables, analyzing trends & drivers and explaining forecast vs. actual variances
- Own the preparation of and drive continuous improvement in our monthly financial results reporting & analysis
- Support executive team in the preparation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders including board of directors, investors and lenders
- Lead the annual budgeting process and create a formal reforecast process by working across departments to bring financial and operational results together
- Support the long-term financial planning process, including maintaining, standardizing and simplifying our financial model
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and forecasts to help evaluate new opportunities as needed
- Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration
- 4-6 years of progressive FP&A experience including at least 2 years at an Investment Bank or Management Consulting
- Experience with financial systems and management reporting
- History of developing and implementing a budget and reforecast processes
- Excellent financial modeling skills with the ability to create a financial model from scratch and simplify complex financial situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Start-up and high growth company experience is a bonus but not a requirement
