Payroll Analyst provides support for in place North America payroll systems and processes, drives requirements gathering and implementation of payroll administration to additional geographies, and provides overall reporting, analytics, and business process improvements for the people operation function in the areas of payroll, benefits, and other HR related metrics. This role would report up to the Global Payroll Manager. Workday HCM & Payroll Experience are required.
What you'll do
- Process payroll, including tax changes, direct deposits, deductions, retroactive adjustments, prorated payments, bonuses, fringe benefits, special pays, garnishments, levies, etc.
- Maintain data integrity between HCM and payroll systems
- Register new state/local/SUI tax withholding accounts with local tax agencies
- Own worker compensation insurance on annual and quarterly basis for Washington and Ohio
- Support quarterly & year end reconciliations and fillings through data analysis and reporting
- Work closely with the finance team to provide payroll reports for posting to the GL
- Inspect automated system output such as registers and standard reports, determine and correct out-of-balance condition
- Assist Global Payroll Manager with special projects as assigned such as Workday payroll implementation, international payroll integrations
What you have
- 2-3 years proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator, or similar role
- 2-3 years Workday HCM & payroll experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Experience working directly with major third-party equity software systems and brokerage firms
- Advanced knowledge in Excel e.g. pivot tables, and vlookups
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extreme attention to detail
- Incredible organization and responsiveness to rapidly evolving, tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- A respectful yet assertive approach
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
