Revenue Accountant

The Finance team oversees the company's financial well-being while supporting operational and business planning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position requires an accounting professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organization. You must be highly analytical, organized and skilled at communication and problem solving. The successful candidate will adapt quickly to change and will champion the advancement of processes and controls in general accounting that will enhance the accounting and overall finance function. This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ownership of billing and collections for our managed services segment
- Monitor bank accounts to check for customer payments, apply payments in billing system, and create corresponding journal entries
- Partner closely with Customer Success team to drive collection efforts
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and identify trends
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Assist in the preparation of the Company’s monthly and quarterly reporting
- Administration of Stripe and Paypal accounts (creating and disabling accounts as needed)
- Assisting with ad-hoc analyses as needed
What We’ll Expect From You:
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP especially on revenue recognition
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with large data sets and strong excel skills
- Strong problem solving skills as well as attention to detail
- High energy level with the ability to take ownership and show initiative in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Prior experience working with Intacct is a plus
- Prior experience with a SaaS company is a plus
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA certification is a plus)
- High level of organization
