Job Description
Are you passionate about working in a mission driven environment? Do you have an interest for Financial Management and Clinical Research? We have an exciting opportunity with Clinical Research Finance as a Revenue Management Analyst (RMA).
The RMA will work as an integral member of the Revenue Management team in the Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA). This position manages accounts receivable and accounts payable responsibilities, Revenue Management reporting and the internal recovery of Clinical Research Labor Pools. We are looking for someone to assist with the development, build and review of new reports and tools, including the financial build of calendars within Clinical Trial Management System.
As a Revenue Management Analyst, you will:
- Prepare monthly analysis of aging report. This includes ensuring the accuracy of data in the General Ledger system and the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) by comparing recorded transactions and reviewing underlying supporting documentation (invoices, checks, wires). Pursue extraordinary revenue with funder, intensify externally and internally as needed.
- Evaluate industry sponsored SKI funds in deficit for accrual, expenses, revenue, budget, etc. Prepare monthly reports for Revenue Management leadership.
- Identify trends in aging and deficit reports (i.e. service or vendor specific challenges). Lead and advance to Revenue Management leadership.
- Lead Receivable Edge and wire payments for unidentified checks and wires. Collaborate with Revenue Management Specialists, MSK Research Departments and MSK Finance to identify and apply payment to the appropriate research fund.
- Facilitate the monthly Labor Pool Recovery for Clinical Research (CR) Protocol Operations Staff and Clinical Trial Nursing in collaboration with CR IT and CR Operations. Prepare recovery impact reports.
- Build and lead purchase orders for vendor agreements that are associated with Clinical Research protocols and funded by industry.
- Collaborate with CR Operations and MSK Finance in processing reimbursable items such as travel, hotel stays and meals through check requests and COUPA. Facilitate external recovery with Revenue Management Specialists.
- Use SQL, Tableau, Excel, Cognos Reports, Cognos Query Studio, and/or internal/external systems, websites and databases, design or produce reports for CR Finance and the greater MSK research community to use that serve to further educate, document, measure and inform these constituencies about Clinical Research Revenue Management. These reports will gain MSK research revenue activity, billing and recovery compliance and portfolio metrics. Reports will be used to increase productivity and improve workflows.
- Serve as liaison with CR IT and RTM IT to resolve optimal improvements for current systems and workflow, and to develop tools to improve systems for revenue recovery.
You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of significant experience or HS Diploma and 6 years relevant experience required.
- Experience with data analysis. Prior experience working with sponsored research data and/or data management.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Communication: The ability to prepare business reports and oral social skills to present complex information in a clear concise manner. #LI-POST
