In this role you will:

  • Newly established role, taking ownership of the entire equity accounting process. 
  • Analysis and preparation of monthly stock-based compensation journal entries.
  • Preparation of all other equity accounting entries (stock options exercised, restricted stock units distributed, etc).
  • Monthly reconciliation of stock-based compensation and equity accounts.
  • Working alongside the Investor Relation and FP&A teams, responsible for forecasting stock-based compensation expense, share usage and stock burn.
  • Collaborate with payroll and the stock administration team on grants, exercises and other special equity related transactions.
  • Interaction and assistance with the financial reporting team regarding preparation of SEC reports as required, including, but not limited to; 10-K, 10-Q, Form 4, Proxy statement, 8-K, and S-8 filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial metrics (non-GAAP measures) and the related disclosures, with an understanding of restrictions on the use of non-GAAP measures.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of periodic earnings releases and related materials required (in conjunction with the Investor Relations team).
  • Interact with external auditors in completing the quarterly reviews and annual audits of the SEC financials and other filings.
  • Maintain documentation supporting SOX compliance.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and expected changes to anticipate new disclosures and necessary updates to accounting policies or filing requirements.
  • Coordinate with the accounting and finance teams to identify improvements and efficiencies across the entire financial reporting process.
  • Assistance with multiple other corporate accounting, financial reporting and technical accounting functions as and when required.


Your qualifications are: 

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in accounting for equity related matters on the balance sheet.
  • Active CPA license preferred, but not expressly required.
  • Big 4 or other large public accounting firm experience required.
  • Previous experience with equity plan software is a big plus.
  • Proven technical accounting pedigree.
  • Excellent analytical skills (data collection and modelling, what-if scenarios).
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to a high growth environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident and polished interpersonal skills with willingness to engage with other departments (specifically payroll, FP&A).
  • Strong Excel skills (formula design, pivot tables, charts).
