OwnBackup is currently seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting, tax, audit and treasury operations globally. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the ideal candidate possesses strong controllership experience in a multi-divisional, global environment and seeks the challenge of working with a growing, dynamic organization.

Your Day-to-Day Role

Accounting and Tax

• Lead, scale and manage a global team (Israel, UK, and US entities) responsible for all accounting, tax, and treasury activities
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, including the development of close procedures that ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial results in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
• Own the annual audit, global tax compliance, cap table management, and related activities
• Manage business and regulatory licenses and taxes, including corporate tax, sales and use taxes
• Develop policies related to financial and operational management including the general ledger, cash management, revenue recognition, accounts payable, allocations, payroll, financial reporting, investments and budget
• Own the formation and implementation of internal controls and policies

Scale and Systems

• Plan and oversee on-going internal processes to push for efficiencies, automation, and accuracy of financial management and accounting systems
• Partner with finance, business operations, sales, account management and other departments to develop scalable controls and processes for customer and vendor management, contract management, order to cash and deal approval 
• Support company-wide growth initiatives, including acquisitions, integrations, strategic partnerships and continuous improvements projects

Leadership

• Train, motivate and manage a team of global accounting professionals
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and ability to set objectives and drive to results while being team oriented

Your Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Experience at a big four accounting firm and CPA license required
• 10+ years of progressive professional experience in financial reporting, transactional accounting, and leadership functions, preferably in SaaS, PaaS and technology-based business
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles; SEC and SOX compliance a plus
• Experience in companies facing rapid growth (both organic and inorganic) while maintaining the highest standards in accounting practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hebrew a bonus
• Experience using and augmenting ERP and CRM Systems (NetSuite and Salesforce)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

This is a full time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our New Jersey office to maximize interaction with business.
