Senior External Reporting Manager
The Team:
Datadog's Finance team works with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to grow as rapidly and efficiently as possible.
The Opportunity:
Datadog is seeking a full-time Senior External Reporting Manager to become an essential part of the company’s rapidly growing team. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the monthly close process, technical accounting research/documentation and the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.
You Will:
- Prepare financial statements and disclosures of the US GAAP 10-Q/K with appropriate support
- Prepare the MD&A section with appropriate support
- Assist in researching technical accounting, analyzing, reporting and documenting issues that affect the company, making recommendations for solutions, and following through to resolution
- Assist in technical accounting related to M&A
- Assist with the preparation of sections of Audit Committee & Disclosure Committee communications
- Perform ad-hoc and special project requests made by management in a timely and efficient manner
- Own and maintain global accounting policies and memo catalog (SOPs)
- Project manage cross departmental initiatives
- Keep abreast of and apply U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing consolidated disclosure support, including streamlining data collection
- Work closely with accounting and finance personnel to implement more efficient and effective processes
- Help perform Sarbanes-Oxley controls related to Financial Accounting Close and Quarterly Reporting processes
- Assist the Investor Relations team with the preparation of key documents and all supporting documentation
- Perform accounting close processes; independently prepare reconciliations and journal entries
- Ability to proactively and independently identify opportunities for improvement and drive results
- Accountable for accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting
- Prepare support and address requests coming from internal and external auditors
You Are:
- Experienced in 6-7 years of accounting, preferably within a public company or Big 4, and hold a BS in Accounting
- CPA-certified (or on track to be certified)
- Able to build relationships with key external and internal stakeholders and business leaders
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask
