How does this Position help VTS Succeed?


VTS is rapidly growing. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and hard-working individual to help us implement and maintain best in class solutions that will improve data integrity, decrease the accounting close time frame and support VTS’s business to scale. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Zuora Revenue Architecture, detail oriented, self motivated and a strong communicator. This individual has a strong knowledge of GAAP accounting with experience in ASC-606.

What Makes This Job Awesome?

  • Be a founding member of this function with the ability to help scale the function as the company continues to grow and scale. 
  • This individual will be responsible for owning and maintaining the finance systems, leading any new implementations and system improvements 
  • Plan, review, and support system changes, process updates, and customization requests, utilizing your experience to proactively suggest industry best practices in support of accurate financial reporting
  • Work closely with Accounting and Finance to determine and understand business needs, incorporating technology changes which increase overall efficiency through new and enhanced business processes. 
  • In this role you will serve as the Finance system Subject Matter Expert for the Company, managing, transforming and supporting the ecosystem of Finance applications at VTS
  • Create, Maintain and Modify custom searches and dashboards for the Finance and Accounting team to increase efficiency around reporting requirements
  • Maintain and update documentation on current system flows and propose and document suggested improvements
  • Ensure that internal stakeholders are properly trained and kept up to date on changes for the respective finance systems
  • Manage change management for Finance systems, including access control and account management

What Makes You a Great Fit?

  • Demonstrable experience building web applications using modern technologies like Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Python etc.
  • Highly technical mindset with the ability to manage and implement complex financial systems
  • The candidate should have experience in documenting current business processes, gathering requirements, documenting the ideal future state, system design and configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of the order-to-cash process for subscription-based billing models
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Experience leveraging ETL tools to connect business systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to thrive in a growth environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Have a passion for identifying areas of improvement and the initiative to make things right
  • Detail-oriented and process driven
  • Demonstrate a strong desire and ability to take ownership of projects
  • 5+ years of supporting financial systems
  • Must-Have: Zuora Revenue, Netsuite or similar ERP, Celigo or other ETL system
  • Nice to Have: Github, Expensify, ADP, Carta, Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, Floqast, Tipalti
