Senior Tax Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to be an integral part of our Tax Team and help ensure tax compliance within multiple areas of tax. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Accountant will be tasked with building out a quarterly and annual tax provision process and ensuring tax compliance with various tax areas such as income tax and sales and use and VAT in multiple jurisdictions worldwide. What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provision including complex tax calculations, maintaining deferred inventory accounts, reconciling tax account balances, drafting tax journal entries, and compiling relevant supporting work papers
- Assist with the preparation and review of domestic and international tax return filings (prepared both in-house and by external service providers) and draft return to provision calculations
- Keep up to date on legislative developments related to direct and indirect taxes for multiple jurisdictions and perform necessary tax research to evaluate impact
- Assist with various tax projects including Transfer Pricing studies, Permanent Establishment assessment, Tax R&D credit, 382 NOL studies, and other various tax issues as they arise and be able to review and analyze the results
- Support tax process and documentation, and the development of internal controls related to taxes
- Prepare other tax returns as required such as property tax and NYC commercial rent tax
- Process tax-related payments, such as income tax quarterly estimate and extension payments, monthly and quarterly sales and use, VAT/GST taxes, and assist with the related tax account reconciliations
- Respond to tax notices and tax audit requests on a timely basis as they arise
What We'll Expect from You:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA and/or Masters in Tax preferred
- Experience with preparing 1120 returns and state and local income tax returns
- Tax accounting knowledge, prior experience with tax provision
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize both internal and external deadlines
- Ability to manage tax projects and interact directly with third party service providers
- Experience with OneSource tax provision software a plus
- Sales and Use tax and VAT knowledge a plus
