Job Description
Technical Operations, Engineering, and Cyber Security within NBCU Operations and Technology division is an $800M+ operating cash flow ($1.1B FCF). The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, and London.
The Senior Manager will play an integral role on the Tech Ops, Engineering, Cyber (TOEC) FP&A team, which drives key strategic initiatives and reporting across the groups. The position will partner with TOEC finance leaders and operational executives to promote, develop, and maintain consistent reporting, analytics, and processes. Projects will require strategic thinking, analysis, modeling, and building recommendations for senior leadership. The position offers unique exposure to decisioning that impacts and requires collaboration with all NBCU businesses. This role will report to the VP of FP&A for Tech Ops, Engineering, Cyber.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with finance and operations leaders to develop financial modeling around our organization's cloud strategy, including the implementation of an allocation methodology
• Refine and report on business KPIs; develop and utilize data-driven analytics to generate value-added insights and actionable recommendations to identify areas of business risk and opportunity as well as drive growth and organizational goals
• Identify and streamline system operations, reporting, and forecasting processes
• Project manage key O&T deliverables and initiatives through the communication of achievable milestones and timelines
• Support FP&A and Consolidation processes including Budgets, Forecasts, Long Range Planning, and executive level presentations to O&T leadership
• Support Controllership in monthly and quarterly closes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial performance
• Build effective business partner relationships with internal/external stakeholders
• Perform various ad-hoc analyses including variance analysis, sensitivities, and other requests from senior management
Leadership and Culture
• Bring a collaborative, hands-on approach to the work, and focus on team members' careers and professional development
• Promote a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
• Develop open communication and productive work relationships with senior leadership, operations leads, and the broader finance team
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• BS/BA degree Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years public and/or private accounting, financial modeling, or FP&A experience preferred
• Strong financial and analytical skills including the ability to create complex financial models and efficiently communicate results
• MS Excel skills required
• Accounting / GAAP knowledge

• SAP or Essbase knowledge preferred with exposure to BPC a plus

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
