Financial Management Analyst – Remote - Top Secret or higher

 

BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time Financial Management Analyst - Remote. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

 

What will you do?

The Financial Management Analyst will have experience with DoD platforms, specifically ADVANA, to provide essential support to DCSAs Office of the Chief Financial Officer. Ideally, possessing a deep understanding of DoD financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial systems. The Financial Management Analyst will collaborate with clients to identify value-add opportunities and develop creative solutions to enhance operational activities using ADVANA. This role requires excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills, along with the ability to lead and manage tasks effectively.


 

Responsibilities:


  • Prioritize and oversee client deliverables, ensuring that deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Identify opportunities within the ADVANA platform to enhance client operational activities and propose solutions.
  • Develop and review materials, including reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with client groups to incorporate net new opportunities into existing activities or develop a roadmap for introducing new and valuable capabilities.
  • Assist in validating ADVANA data against source systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Align ADVANA activities with broader DoD strategies to maximize the platform's effectiveness and impact.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD platforms, including ADVANA, General Ledger/Accounting Systems, G-Invoicing, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of DoD financial management environment across business lines such as accounting, budget, and financial operations.
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and client relationship skills.
  • Comfortable leading and managing tasks of staff, including providing guidance and support.
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop creative solutions to meet those needs.
  • Familiarity with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures related to financial management.
  • Proficient in using data analytics tools and software to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
