- Execution & delivery – help plan and track firmware development work, ensuring timely delivery of features, bug fixes, and platform enablement across multiple hardware programs.
- Technical guidance – participate in design discussions and reviews, helping the team make sound technical decisions around embedded firmware, BMC architectures, and system integration.
- Cross-functional collaboration – work closely Hardware Engineering and Systems Engineering teams to ensure firmware aligns with hardware requirements and production needs.
- Quality & reliability – support best practices around testing, validation, debugging, and documentation to ensure firmware reliability in large-scale production environments.
- Process building – help establish lightweight development processes, documentation standards, and tooling appropriate for a growing firmware organization.
- Grow the team – partner with recruiting and senior leadership to interview and onboard new firmware engineers as the team scales.
- Communicate & align – provide clear status updates, surface risks early, and communicate trade-offs and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
