As a Trading Services Associate with a focus on Sales Support, you'll be responsible for understanding trading structures to accurately capture all transactions, complete reconciliation checks, and ensure controls are performed. Job responsibilities
- Timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems, supporting Sales and Trading teams in delivering exceptional client service.
- Complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including completeness and reconciliation checks, to ensure new trading activity and book management are processed accurately for Sales-driven transactions.
- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and infrastructure groups to support a 'one team approach' and deliver seamless client experiences.
- Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off on a timely basis, supporting Sales in maintaining high standards of risk management and compliance.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with Sales and support teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of client and trade-related queries.
- Participate and contribute to strategic initiatives focused on improving sales support processes and business architecture.
- Build an in-depth understanding of trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective, with a focus on supporting Sales and client needs.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of all relevant fixed income products (such as government and corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, municipal bonds, and treasury bills), with the ability to support Sales in client discussions and trade execution.
- Knowledge of the front-to-back Operations process (including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting) and the ability to facilitate issue resolution across teams, especially in support of Sales and client requirements.
- Awareness of key elements of other infrastructure groups (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, Collateral, etc.) and recognition of the impact of Trade Support actions on Sales and client outcomes.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Sales, explain complex concepts, and challenge processes to drive improvements.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership, especially in supporting Sales-driven activities.
- Team player able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, supporting Sales and Trading in delivering for clients.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills to support Sales with data-driven insights and solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, control, and project management skills, with a focus on enhancing sales support processes.
- Strong technical skills, especially in Excel (VBA is a plus), to support Sales with reporting and analysis.
