About this role

Overview of BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory Business

BlackRock's Financial Markets Advisory group (“FMA”) provides counsel to financial institutions, sovereigns and official institutions across a range of strategic, capital, balance sheet, risk and regulatory matters.  At the heart of “BlackRock as a platform” FMA strives to build and deepen BlackRock’s relationships with our clients’ senior management, serving them on their most critical and sophisticated needs.

The group unites extensive capital markets expertise, complex engagement management capabilities, data and analytics proficiency, and strategic client advisory insights.  With approximately 200 team members worldwide, FMA maintains a tailored and specialized approach to drive BlackRock’s key commercial priorities, working where the firm has unique perspective and capabilities.

We distinguish ourselves by combining deep practitioner expertise with a vast market presence, underpinned by a fully fiduciary mentality – including the ability to operate behind strict information barriers where circumstances require.

FMA operates as regional businesses that share a core mission and set of objectives. We partner closely on global opportunities while retaining a focus on regional clients.  The Americas FMA team has considerable experience serving US-based banks, spanning G-SIBs to regionals, as well as market infrastructure providers, governmental entities, insurance companies and other financial institutions.

Role Overview
