About Us

We’re building the legal infrastructure modern startups need- combining intelligent automation with on-demand legal expertise. Our AI-native platform eliminates outdated workflows across contract review, compliance, HR legal, SOC 2 readiness, and fundraising - delivering fast, affordable, and risk-aware legal solutions for startups.

Our mission: Create the first vertically integrated, tech-powered law firm designed from the ground up for scale — AI for automation, lawyers for judgment, and SaaS for predictable pricing.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Associate Attorney to join our legal team supporting early-stage startups across commercial contracting, fundraising, and employment matters. This role sits at the intersection of legal practice and technology-enabled service delivery, working within a modern, AI-assisted legal environment.

As an Associate, you’ll advise founders on core operational legal needs while helping us develop scalable workflows, playbooks, and review structures that improve both quality and speed. You’ll collaborate closely with senior attorneys, legal ops, and the product team to shape how legal support is delivered to high-growth companies.

What You’ll DoLegal Service Delivery
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, DPAs, IP assignments).

  • Support clients through early-stage fundraising events, including SAFEs, convertible notes, equity grants, and board consents.

  • Advise on employment and HR legal issues, including offer letters, contractor agreements, termination guidance, and IP / confidentiality protections.

  • Provide clear, practical, business-oriented legal guidance tailored to founders.

Workflow & Template Development
  • Maintain and refine template contract libraries, clause banks, and negotiation playbooks.

  • Help build scalable frameworks for intake, review, and escalation.

  • Identify repeatable patterns and convert them into structured workflows.

AI-Assisted Legal Processes
  • Use AI-assisted contract review tools to increase efficiency and consistency.

  • Provide feedback to improve risk scoring, drafting suggestions, and review flows.

  • Participate in defining where attorney judgment vs. automation should apply.

Operations & Professional Standards
  • Support client onboarding, engagement letters, conflict checks, and file management.

  • Ensure compliance with ethical, confidentiality, and UPL guidelines across the platform.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to embed legal guardrails into core workflows.

Who You Are
  • Licensed U.S. Attorney in good standing.

  • 3–6+ years of experience in corporate, commercial, startup, or employment law (BigLaw, boutique, or in-house welcome).

  • Experience working directly with early-stage startups (Seed–Series B).

  • Strong command of:
    • Contract drafting & negotiation
    • Early-stage fundraising (SAFEs, notes, equity grants)
    • Employment documentation & founder/employee onboarding practices

  • Clear communicator who can explain legal concepts in plain, founder-friendly language.

  • Comfortable working in an environment that values efficiency, clarity, and repeatability.

  • Interested in legal innovation, workflow automation, and/or AI-assisted legal tooling.

Why Join Us
  • Ground-Floor Equity: This is a true partner-level opportunity with significant ownership in a company redefining legal infrastructure.

  • Category Creation: Be at the forefront of legal tech innovation, building the first AI-native law firm designed for startups.

  • Massive Market: Startups and SMBs spend $25B+ annually on legal services — and that market is shifting fast toward technology-first solutions.

  • Mission-Driven Team: Work alongside founders obsessed with making legal accessible, affordable, and scalable for innovators.

Compensation
  • Competitive salary and benefits

  • Performance and utilization-based bonus structure

  • Equity participation in the platform

  • Opportunity to contribute to firm-wide profit pool as responsibilities grow
