What we're looking for
You’ll be one of the first hires on Visia’s forward deployed engineering (FDE) team. We’re looking for builders across hardware, software and AI with a customer-centric mindset — if a role involving both face-time with customers as well as being able to work on cutting-edge engineering problems excites you, then this might be for you.
You would serve as a bridge between our engineering and GTM team, be the primary point-of-contact for assigned Visia customer implementations, and provide engineering-centric customer insights and product ideas as we scale across North America.
Responsibilities
- Owning entire Visia implementations at customer facilities — from facilitating Visia platform implementations, to support and bug-fixes related to the Visia platform, to machine learning audits
- Collaborate with customers on-site to ensure the system is functioning effectively, address concerns, and provide real-time feedback and support
- Splitting your time between supporting existing Visia implementations and building features for the Visia platform across either our hardware or software stacks (based on your background!)
- Working closely with Visia platform team to design, implement, and contribute to Visia’s AI platform
Qualifications
- A background in one of:
- Mechanical, Field-Services, or Industrial Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Willingness to travel ~60-70% of your week and comfortable with getting hands-on in industrial facilities to test system performance
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers that range in terms of technical expertise
- Able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of UNIX command line usage; experience with CCTV & X-ray equipment is a plus
- Proximity to major airport
- Minimum 1-2 years work experience
