Forum's Venture Studio brings together ambitious people, brilliant ideas, and capital to build the best B2B SaaS businesses in the world, from 0 to 1. In addition to capital and an idea, we provide founders with access to investor networks, fundraising support, and the resources needed to build transformational companies. Our AI Studio has launched 17 companies since 2023, and we're launching 7 more in 2026. We're designed to help Founders move faster, develop better insights, and build companies that have a higher success rate than startups built in any other way.
What We're Looking At:
Insurance was built for people and machines. AI is both. Every policy assumes you can tell who did the work, and AI-assisted work broke that assumption. The industry's first answer has been to exclude it: 2,369 generative AI exclusions are now in force on US commercial policies, up from zero a year ago, including 146 filed on professional liability and E&O in the first four months of 2026 alone. Most were added defensively, not because of losses, which means the right evidence can bring coverage back. Nobody is producing it yet. Forum AI Studio is looking for a Founder exploring any of these themes:

  • Proof of review for professionals: per-matter records proving a licensed lawyer, accountant, engineer, or architect reviewed the AI's work, packaged so coverage holds at renewal

  • Getting coverage back for the trades: evidence and carrier partnerships that restore general liability and umbrella coverage for contractors using AI estimating and planning tools

  • Underwriting hybrid work: the attribution data layer that prices teleoperated and supervised-autonomy robotics for MGAs and carriers

  • Agentic commerce guarantees: delegation records and guarantees that settle who eats the loss when an AI agent buys wrong

Maybe you've run underwriting or product at an insurtech or MGA and know what it takes to get a carrier to say yes. Maybe you've placed professional or contractor coverage as a broker and watched clients lose it this year. Maybe you've built risk or chargeback infrastructure in payments, or sold software into carriers and know how long the yes takes. You don't need to have done all four. You need to know exactly where insurance stopped working for AI and be relentless about fixing it.

Forum derisks and accelerates the Founder path by:

  • A $250K USD investment, and an end-to-end fundraising playbook and network to raise your seed and Series A

  • A validation partner with proven playbooks, networks, and the systems to validate, unlock your ICP, ignite your sales pipeline, and beyond

  • The support of our experienced operating team - from business design, product development, growth, recruitment, legal and more

  • Executing a winning GTM strategy to get to $50-100K ARR, and the right MVP to ensure early traction

  • A community full of mentors, peers, and leaders

  • $100K worth of business perks

About you:

  • Early-stage operator experience with a proven track record in insurance, insurtech, or risk infrastructure

  • You may have run underwriting, product, or distribution at a carrier, MGA, or insurtech and know how carrier partnerships actually get signed

  • You may have placed professional liability, E&O, or contractor coverage as a broker and seen AI exclusions hit your book firsthand

  • You may have built fraud, chargeback, or risk-scoring infrastructure in payments or commerce

  • The ability to attract, hire and lead world-class teams

  • A demonstrated passion for technology's ability to change the world

  • A desire to be a venture-backed founder

  • Canada or US-based, and the ability to collaborate in North American time zones.

Please note, this is not an employment opportunity with Forum Ventures. If you are currently fundraising your pre-seed or Seed round, please pitch our investment team instead here.
