About Us

Icarus Robotics is building the robotic workforce for space industrialization. We're developing dexterous robots to automate routine tasks inside space stations, dramatically reducing operational costs and unlocking the $130,000/hr astronaut labor bottleneck.

Backed by a $6.1 million seed round led by top-tier investors in deep tech and space, we're rapidly expanding our team and accelerating our development timeline. Our engineers work directly with NASA and collaborate with some of the largest aerospace companies on next-generation space technologies. We've secured partnerships with commercial LEO destination companies who will host our robots on future space stations, creating a clear path to orbit for our technology. We're now preparing for our first ISS test mission, JOYRIDE-1; a key proving ground for full orbital deployment.

We believe in an industrialized low-Earth orbit this decade and we’re making it happen.

Position Overview

As a Founder's Associate, you'll work directly with the Co-Founders to accelerate our mission and become a force multiplier across the organization. This is a true generalist role for someone who's excited to work across everything from operations and strategy to partnerships and product. This role is a perfect launchpad for future founders, operators, or builders in the space industry.

You will help put a robot in space.

What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to wide range of key internal projects: From hiring and fundraising to financial modelling, recruiting, legal & compliance, marketing, and research as well as day to day operations

  • Support the broader team and be a force multiplier to enable us to move faster as we scale toward orbital deployment

  • Identify gaps, propose solutions, and take ownership from day one

  • Interface with NASA, commercial space partners, investors, and suppliers. Helping tell our story and keep critical partnerships moving

  • Bring structure and focus to a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment as we prepare for JOYRIDE-1!

Required Qualifications
  • A hands-on smart, curious generalist with a strong work ethic who thrives on variety and ambiguity

  • Ability to be scrappy / resourceful, and adapt to a fast moving environment

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with strong attention to details

  • Bias to action: you get things done without waiting to be asked and look for opportunities to contribute

  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, documents, and jumping into new tools

Nice-to-Haves
  • Background/Degree in law, accounting, finance, or similar structured field

  • Previous startup experience or working directly with technical founders

  • Experience working with government contractors or regulatory environments

  • Graphic design / content creation skills

  • Interest in or familiarity with aerospace, robotics, or deep tech industries

What We Offer
  • Generous equity as an early team member.

  • Competitive salary: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Access to cutting-edge tools and the autonomy to move fast.

  • Collaboration with top-tier investors, NASA teams, and Industry leaders.

  • A foundational role in shaping the future of in-space robotics and orbital manufacturing.

Location

We’re based at Newlab in Brooklyn, NYC.

This is a hands-on role, and we're looking for full-time, on-site candidates. Some travel may be required.
