As a Founding Account Executive, you will transform founder-led sales into a repeatable revenue model, closing mid-market deals and engaging finance teams directly. Responsibilities include managing the sales cycle from outbound outreach to customer success handoff, ensuring clear ROI for prospects.
Payments might seem slick for consumers, but 100 trillion dollars of global B2B commerce still runs on the manual labor of millions of people in finance teams around the world. It’s been this way forever. That’s because it’s a messy communication and negotiation problem. One that computers couldn’t solve. Until now.
Lunos is building an agentic network for B2B commerce. Our first product is an AI partner for finance teams that manages their receivables like a human would. Well, how they would if they worked on getting the business paid 24/7, never forgot anything and read every message ever sent to them.
We’re a small team with big ambitions, backed by funding from top-tier VCs including General Catalyst (early backers of companies like Stripe and Airbnb) and Cherry Ventures. Backed by early customers and strong momentum, we’re ready to bring on our first dedicated sales hire to help us scale.
You’ll partner directly with our CEO, Duncan, to transform our founder-led sales motion into a repeatable revenue engine. You will own deals end-to-end while shaping how the company sells for years to come.
If you want to build, not just operate… this is your seat.
- Work directly with Duncan to translate founder-led sales into a repeatable motion by refining ICP, messaging, pricing, qualification criteria, and deal strategy.
- Own everything from high-touch outbound and qualification to discovery, demos, pilots, negotiation, close, and handoff to customer success.
- Close mostly mid market deals with five-to lower-six-figure ACVs
- Engage CFOs, Controllers, FP&A leaders, and AR teams as a trusted, consultative partner
- Deliver tailored demos and pilot programs that prove impact quickly
- Ensure prospects and customers clearly see impact on cash flow, efficiency, and team productivity and feed insights back into product and strategy.
- 4–8 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience
- Proven success selling into finance teams (especially CFOs and Controllers)
- Experience at a startup or high-growth SaaS / fintech / AI company
- Demonstrated ability to run complex, consultative sales cycles independently
- Comfortable taking ownership of existing pipeline and improving processes
- Excellent discovery skills and executive presence
- Builder mindset: you want to shape strategy, not just execute it
Bonus Points
- Background working in founder-led sales environments
- Experience as an early or first sales hire
- Track record of influencing GTM strategy, not just executing it
