About Modal Design:

We're hiring first full-time brand design lead to join Modal as we build the future of serverless computing. You will be joining a small team of product designers who have led the brand thus far. You'll have significant impact evolving our brand as we grow, and defining the design culture at Modal.

The Role:

You'll work with our design/marketing/sales team on all aspects of Modal’s brand: the marketing website, sales materials, future billboard/OOH campaigns and projects like the GPU Glossary. Your work will directly impact how developers use and understand Modal.

What You'll Do:
  • Define and evolve Modal’s visual identity across web, marketing, and product surfaces, ensuring a cohesive and distinctive brand experience for developers.

  • Design our OOH campaigns

  • Support our events team with branded elements + swag

  • Support our growing GTM team (collateral material + conference booth etc.)

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of brand design experience

  • Web design experience

  • Strong portfolio showing your skills in typography, color, and visual design

  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have:
  • Technical background or experience with SAAS startup

  • OOH experience (designing billboards/buses etc.)

  • Motion design experience (small videos + animations).
