💊 Why Squad Health
Squad Health is solving the specialty medication access problem. Our AI platform dramatically increases a patient’s ability to get access to life-changing therapies by being the first system integrated with all key stakeholders—provider, payer, pharmacy—in this $400 billion market. This connectivity, supercharged with AI, lets us actually automate painful, complex tasks for providers—prior authorization, benefits verification, assistance program enrollment and much more. In doing so, we are successfully driving scaled impact for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The proof is in the pudding! We already work with hundreds of providers across 15 states and are doubling our doctor and patient footprint every month. We recently raised a heavily oversubscribed Seed ($7M led by CRV with participation from Menlo, Defy, and BoxGroup), and are growing the team in New York to match demand.
🧑🔬 Why this role
We’re looking for a full stack Founding Engineer to help scale Squad Health’s specialty medication access platform for independent specialty providers. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who wants exposure across our stack — whether it’s shipping powerful provider-facing features, scaling the integrations that automate the work for thousands of prescriptions per week, or building the world’s most accurate AI for medication prior authorizations.
We are solving technically ambitious, real world problems, so you will maintain a high bar for everything we do — from how we design our systems to how we build products to how we work as a company. As employee #5 and a member of the founding team, you will be a big part of defining our culture and setting our norms.
💻 What you will do
Build disruptive integrations into key medical systems of record: you will accelerate our ambitious journey to build the first agentic, turnkey integrations into provider (EMR), pharmacy (PMS), and payer (ePA) systems. You will architect and scale high throughput, complex Python workflows that leverage these hybrid Selenium and API integrations.
Transform key product surfaces: our core product serves clinics, patients, and our operations team. You will do more than just build new features: you will partner closely with product and operations to understand real world needs and translate them into highly usable solutions. To do that, you will build empathy with our “users” by working closely with clients and clinical support staff.
Expand our horizons on how AI can be put to work: we already leverage AI across the specialty medication workflow, but there are myriad opportunities to improve accuracy, automate more complex tasks, and ultimately drive better outcomes for providers and patients.
Iterate rapidly to deliver impact from day one: your work will impact thousands of patients immediately. We believe in prototyping rapidly to prove or disprove hypotheses quickly and then being thoughtful in how we scale new ideas into robust, production grade systems.
