This is a founding-level opportunity with significant ownership, technical influence, and equity potential. You'll work directly with the founder and technical leadership to shape the product, architecture, and future engineering organization.
This is a pool for multiple roles. We have 3 related verticals that solve real problems we want to solve. We have multiple for each role type. Equity listed on posting is based on a Founding Engineer; Head of Engineering roles have an equity bump. The role level will be determined during the technical screen, and you will be informed of the direction we'll be moving after the tech screening, if moving forward.

Who We're Looking For
We're not anchoring this role to a specific title history. What matters is that you can own technical delivery end-to-end, make sound architecture decisions with limited oversight, and operate as a founding engineer, not just an executor.
You might be a senior engineer who's built production systems at scale, a tech lead ready to step into a broader ownership role, or a founding engineer who's done this before and wants to do it again at a company worth building from scratch.
The title is Founding Lead because that's the scope. The path that gets you there is flexible.
We expect you to write production code and we expect you to use the tools available to do it well. AI-assisted development is welcome; ownership of the output is required.
Required Skills
TypeScript and Node.js
React and modern frontend development.
PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
REST API design and development
Git-based workflows and collaborative development practices
Docker and modern deployment practices
Demonstrated experience building and scaling production web applications
High-availability and reliability principles — you've thought about these, not just read about them.
Production troubleshooting and performance optimization experience
Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers or interns
Experience participating in engineering hiring processes (panels, interviews, or hiring loops)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
CI/CI
3 Years of SWE experience.
Preferred Skills
React Native or Capacitor experience — strongly preferred
Experience leading and managing engineering teams — strongly preferred
Real-time location services, GPS tracking, mapping integrations, route optimization, or geospatially aware application development — a strong plus
App Store and Google Play deployment experience
Payment integrations — Stripe, Apple Pay, or Google Pay
AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean experience
Startup or founding engineer experience

What You'll Do
Own major portions of application development and technical delivery from day one
Help evolve the MVP into a production-ready, scalable platform
Drive improvements to scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Participate actively in architecture decisions and technical planning
Establish engineering standards and development practices
Build, lead, and mentor the future engineering team, including junior developers and interns
