Own enterprise customer onboardings from signed agreement through stable production launch. Integrate ERP and CRM systems, clean and reconcile messy financial data, ship production TypeScript integrations, improve AI agent prompts and evaluations, and convert customer learnings into product improvements and scalable onboarding playbooks. The role combines software development, customer-facing technical ownership, and building the company’s forward-deployed engineering function.
Payments might seem slick for consumers, but $100tn of Global B2B commerce still runs on the manual labor of millions of people in finance teams around the world. It’s been this way forever. Despite software, APIs and new payment methods. That’s because it’s not a payments problem. It’s a communication and negotiation problem. One that computers couldn’t solve. Until now.
Lunos is replacing this with a network of AI agents, starting with accounts receivable. We offer an AI partner that ensures businesses get paid by managing their receivables (what they are owed) just like a human would. Well, how they would if they worked on it 24/7, never forgot anything and read every message ever sent to them.
We’re a small team with big ambitions, backed by top-tier VCs who were early backers of companies like Stripe and Airbnb. We’re building in a modern stack (TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel, Supabase/Postgres, Tailwind), blending powerful agentic AI architectures, curated LLM pipelines, quantitative methods and robust SaaS foundations.
We’re hiring our first Forward Deployed Engineer. You’ll take newly signed enterprise customers, connect Lunos to their ERP and CRM, get their messy data into shape, and take them live. Then you’ll turn what you learned into code and a playbook, so the next one goes faster. We have a busy pipeline of enterprise onboardings, and you’ll shape how this function works as it grows.
- Own onboardings end to end, from signed SOW to live and stable, across Netsuite, QuickBooks, Salesforce, HubSpot and whatever comes next
- Make the data trustworthy. Every merchant’s data is messy in its own way: duplicates, mismatched IDs, systems that disagree. You get it clean and matched before go-live
- Ship production TypeScript in our main codebase: merchant-specific work, new connectors, and improvements every merchant benefits from
- Shape the product. You’ll see what breaks across merchants before anyone else. Bring it back, argue for the fix, and often build it. You’ll also work with our AI team on the agents’ prompts and evals for your merchants
- Build the function: write the playbook, help hire the next FDE, and grow into leading the team as we scale
- Has shipped third-party API integrations that held up in production (OAuth, sync, rate limits, idempotency, writing data back)
- Writes strong TypeScript and SQL
- Has been the technical owner in front of customers, and enjoyed it
- Treats other people’s financial data with care
- Bonus: LLM or agent experience, a fintech or AR background, QuickBooks/Salesforce/HubSpot APIs
You’ll spend roughly 50% building, 35% with customers, and 15% on the playbook and product. On-call only during your own launches. Quarterly company meetups (from Florence and Portugal to upstate NY).
Sound like your kind of adventure? Let’s talk. 🚀
