About the company
Trove
is building the future of collectibles. Trove lets you buy and open packs digitally, then choose to keep, sell, or physically redeem cards. They’re just getting started but their team is led by proven entrepreneurs and has raised capital from top tier investors. They’re a group of passionate, creative builders who thrive on the uncomfortable excitement of starting something new. If you’re someone who values meaningful ownership and impact, keep reading.
This is a great opportunity to join an early stage company founded by entrepreneurs with multiple, successful exits. They know that putting together a talented, passionate group of people is the most important part of building a business. Their bar is high and their results are exceptional. This is an environment where you’ll feel challenged, grow beyond what you’ve done before, and visibly see how your work impacts the business. Beyond that, they offer highly competitive compensation, free health insurance, flexible time off, and meaningful equity so you’ll share in the company’s success. The team is headquartered in NYC and hiring for flexible in-person work.

About the position
Trove is looking for a founding iOS Engineer to help launch their first product. As their first iOS Engineer, this isn't just about writing code—it’s about architecting a brand-new experience from the ground up alongside Trove founders. The main goal is to build the iOS application's foundation, own the iOS roadmap and set the engineering standards for everything that follows. They look for design-first engineering skills. This person will partner with product and design to turn bold concepts into a polished, high-performance reality. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-momentum environment where their work moves from "idea" to "user's hands" in days, not months. They look for someone with a founder’s mindset. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, solve hard problems, and help define the company culture, you're the right fit.
On any given week, you might:
  • Architect core product systems in that will scale long term
  • Design and implement high-fidelity, animation-heavy user experiences
  • Partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous ideas into clean, intuitive flows
  • Ship experiments quickly, then iterate and expand on what works
  • Improve app performance, responsiveness, and reliability at scale
  • Implement networking layers and real-time updates that power live marketplace activity
  • Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed and maintainability
  • Raise the bar on code quality, architecture, and engineering culture

You have experience and success in these areas:
  • Strong proficiency in Swift (SwiftUI and/or UIKit)
  • Shipping and scaling a highly interactive consumer app
  • Building complex, stateful interfaces that feel simple
  • Owning features end-to-end, from design through launch
  • Collaborating closely with founders, designers, and backend engineers
  • Moving forward with incomplete information and operating despite ambiguity
  • Building for marketplace, fintech, gaming, or social apps
