We believe every American household deserves access to counsel in life’s biggest moments. At Finch, we’re building the infrastructure to make justice radically more accessible. Our modern approach to consumer law automates the admin work and puts clients first, starting with personal injury.
Since launching in April, we’ve grown 10x and are now powering pre-litigation for top law firms across the country. We combine expert operators with purpose-built AI to handle intake, claim opening, medical records, police reports, lien management, demands, and everything in between.
We’re backed by Sequoia, Redpoint, and the founders & CEOs of generational companies like DoorDash, Ironclad, and Digits. We’re rebuilding how the law serves everyday Americans from first principles, and we’re hiring exceptional operators to help us scale it nationwide.
This RoleWe're looking for a Founding Marketer to help Finch become the most trusted name in legal tech – through smart campaigns, memorable experiences, and content that actually resonates with the people we serve. You'll own how Finch shows up to the world: online, in person, and everywhere our customers pay attention.
This isn't a role where you'll build a team and hand things off. You'll be the one doing the work – planning events, building content with our team, running experiments, and figuring out what moves the needle. We're looking for someone who's spent years learning how great marketing gets done and is ready to apply that knowledge somewhere they can shape things from the start.
You'll work closely with leadership and collaborate across all functions (including GTM & Ops) to build a brand law firm leaders know, trust, and recommend to their peers.
You Will:Own demand and inbound – assess which channels deserve investment, where we're leaving growth on the table, and build the systems that compound over time.
Build our content strategy and narrative – decide what stories are worth telling and build the engine (video, social, case studies, campaigns) to tell them consistently and at scale.
Craft a social presence with a point of view – develop the voice and strategy that makes Finch worth following, with a focus on being genuine and useful to the people we serve.
Define and own field marketing – determine which events, audiences, and formats are worth our time, then build the playbook and run it. You'll design experiences that build relationships, generate pipeline, and put Finch in the right rooms.
Integrate AI into how we market – identify where AI-powered systems create real leverage and build the infrastructure to execute.
Think about what's next – Finch's marketing is trust-first and relationship-driven. You'll help define what that looks like as we scale, and build the foundation the next phase of growth runs on.
Have 4–7+ years of marketing experience, with enough reps to know what good looks like – and enough drive to build it yourself at a high-growth startup.
Have built marketing functions from scratch (or close to it) and know what it takes to go from zero to a system that runs.
Think strategy and execution as one motion – you don't hand plans off, you see them through.
Understand trust-based, relationship-driven marketing and know that in this industry, credibility compounds faster than campaigns.
Are a natural relationship-builder – with customers, partners, and teammates. People like working with you.
Have a bias toward action – you move fast, make decisions with incomplete information, and learn by doing.
Are AI-proficient and curious – you've experimented with and built AI-enabled marketing systems, and you can point to real results from doing so.
Are energized by building the infrastructure – the processes, experiments, and systems that make everything else possible.
The expected package for this role includes base salary + equity.
Base salary = $130,000 - $175,000.
100% coverage for health, dental, and vision.
401(k) retirement plan.
In-office snacks, drinks, and daily team lunches and dinners.
Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need).
