About Neptune

Neptune is building the concierge couples trust to navigate the biggest decisions of a life together. We pair emotionally intelligent AI with vetted legal and financial experts and transparent pricing, so both partners can make confident, fair decisions together and build a life—and lasting wealth—as a team.

At the center is a shared operating system for couples that remembers everything for you, so you never repeat yourself and every next decision starts from what we already know. Couples make billions of dollars in financial and legal decisions over a life together, and no one has built the trusted companion that carries the full picture across all of them. That's the category we're defining, and it's a rare moment to help build it from the ground up.

Our team comes from Stripe, Google, Palantir, and Uber. We’ve raised $7.5M from Floodgate (Lyft, X, Twitch) and The General Partnership, and demand is growing fast.

The role

You will lead Neptune’s expert marketplace, owning expert recruitment, supply partnerships, and ongoing marketplace operations.

Working directly with the founders, you’ll help us enter new markets, build relationships with experts and partner organizations, and improve how our marketplace runs.

This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial instincts who is analytical, organized, and comfortable taking ownership. You should enjoy setting direction and doing the work yourself.

What you’ll own
  • Expert recruitment: Build and run the process for finding, recruiting, and onboarding qualified experts. Develop channels that consistently bring the right people onto Neptune.

  • Partnerships: Build relationships with firms, professional networks, and other organizations that can expand our expert supply. Own negotiation, launch, and ongoing partner performance.

  • Market expansion: Lead launches into new markets and services. Coordinate with product, growth, and legal to ensure we’re ready to serve customers.

  • Marketplace operations: Oversee expert relationships, availability, service quality, and retention. Set clear expectations and resolve recurring operational problems.

  • Business analytics: Use data to understand performance, evaluate opportunities, and recommend where to invest. Translate analysis into decisions that improve growth and economics.

  • Team and processes: Build and manage the support around the marketplace. Establish clear ownership and use AI and automation to help the team work efficiently.

What success looks like: We have the right experts available to serve our customers, productive partnerships, and a reliable process for entering new markets. You know how the marketplace is performing and take action when something needs to change.

We should talk if you’re
  • Someone who has done this before: You’ve grown a marketplace, launched markets, built a provider network, or delivered measurable results in sales or partnerships.

  • Commercially minded: You’re comfortable selling to individual professionals and negotiating with larger organizations. You can build trust and close.

  • Analytical: You can work backward from a goal, understand the economics, and use data to decide what to do next.

  • An independent operator: You bring recommendations, prioritize well, and make progress without needing a detailed playbook.

  • Hands-on: You’ll make calls, work through a stalled deal, improve a process, and follow through on the details.

  • Enthusiastic about AI: You use AI in your daily work and look for practical ways to improve how you and your team operate.

Experience in expert marketplaces, professional-services networks, or adjacent industries is helpful.

What we offer
  • Ownership: You will help define how Neptune grows.

  • Impact: Your work will reach customers directly.

  • Equity: This role includes founding-level early-stage equity.

  • Speed: You will work on a small team where ideas can move quickly.

Location

  • $140,000 to $180,000 base salary

  • Founding-level early-stage equity

  • 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage

  • $1,000 annual learning budget
