Founding Recruiter

We’re looking for a hungry and driven recruiter who wants to build their career as an operator and who thrives in a 100% in-office environment.
This is a rare chance to join Probook at the ground floor and help us assemble one of the most talent-dense teams in New York City. You’ll work directly with the founders, own critical searches end-to-end, and learn what it takes to scale a company from zero to one.

The right person is genuinely passionate about recruiting as a craft. You want to master sourcing, candidate experience, and closing, while also learning how recruiting intersects with strategy, operations, and culture.

What You’ll Do

• Partner closely with our leadership team and recruiters to identify hiring priorities.

• Build and maintain a world-class pipeline of engineers, product managers, and designers from top startups and companies.

• Drive creative sourcing strategies: from outbound research to leveraging networks, events, and communities.

• Develop a strong understanding of candidate motivations and startup dynamics to identify and attract the right people.

• Provide a high-touch candidate experience from the very first outreach.

What We’re Looking For (Hard Requirements)

• 1–3 years of sourcing experience with a proven track record recruiting for top early-stage startups.

• Prior agency experience or direct startup experience sourcing/recruiting.

• Strong communication and research skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach.

• Highly organized, resourceful, and motivated by building in a fast-paced environment.

• Grit - willing to work work 9-9-5
