About Tempo and Financial Manager

Tempo execution layer for how modern enterprises plan and track work. Tempo Financial Manager provides financial intelligence in Tempo’s ecosystem application layer. It is the product that converts Jira, Capacity Planner, and Timesheets data — logged hours, planned capacity, cost and billing rates — into the project budgets, portfolio forecasts, CapEx/OpEx classifications, and earned-value metrics that team leads and PMO leaders defend in front of CFOs and auditors.

About the role

Enterprise financial planning has a visibility problem. Organizations invest billions across programs and portfolios, yet the tools meant to govern those decisions — budget approvals, reforecast cycles, actuals tracking — are largely disconnected from where strategic decisions actually get made. Finance runs in one system. Portfolio planning runs in another. The gap between them is where strategy breaks down.

Tempo Financial Manager is built to close that gap.

We are looking for a creative systems thinker who understands enterprise finance from the inside — someone who has implemented financial planning systems, modeled budget cycles for large programs, or guided finance and FP&A teams through tooling transformations. The best candidate for this role may not have ‘Product Manager’ anywhere on their resume yet. They might be a finance consultant, an ERP implementation lead, or an enterprise solutions architect who has spent years watching organizations struggle to connect their financial plans to their actual portfolio execution.

If you know what a rolling forecast really takes, what the CFO asks for in the QBR, and why budget approval workflows always end up in spreadsheets, this role was built for you.

What you’ll do

Finance and budgeting touches nearly every other part of the product. You’ll drive strategy for this domain while working closely with Product Managers across Tempo’s ecosystem application portfolio whose work intersects with yours.

We build in small, dedicated teams. You’ll work directly with engineering and design from problem definition through shipped features with minimal handoff and maximum ownership. We use AI collaboratively throughout our work to streamline communication and accelerate delivery. This is not a traditional product organization. We move fast, build directly, and expect everyone on the team to close the loop between insight and execution.

You’ll define how Tempo Financial Manager helps organizations manage project budgets, allocate budget across initiatives, track actuals against plan, and make real-time tradeoff decisions all within their strategic planning context.

Specifically, you’ll own:

  • Product strategy and roadmap for Financial Manager’s budgeting, cost, and billing capabilities

  • Discovery with CFOs, FP&A leaders, and finance business partners, understanding how budget authority flows through a modern enterprise

  • How Financial Manager connects portfolio investment decisions to financial plans: scenario modeling, threshold governance, and continuous forecasting

  • Close partnership with Tempo’s integrations team on connecting Financial Manager to ERP and financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, and others)

Who you are

We care far more about deep domain knowledge than a traditional product management background. If you have lived inside this problem as a finance leader, FP&A analyst, ERP implementation consultant, or enterprise solutions architect, we want to talk to you.

Specifically, we’re looking for:

  • Domain experience: 4–8 years in enterprise finance, FP&A, ERP implementation, or financial systems consulting. You know what a rolling forecast really takes and what the CFO asks for in the QBR.

  • Organizational fluency: hands-on experience with how organizations actually budget large programs, including the tradeoffs between cost centers, headcount planning, and CapEx vs. OpEx treatment

  • Tooling familiarity: you’ve worked with or around enterprise finance or planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, or similar) and you know where they fall short

  • Curiosity about AI: you’re already using AI in your work and you’re thinking seriously about what it means for enterprise planning, financial forecasts and budgets.

  • Complexity tolerance: finance workflows are precise and deeply opinionated. You can sift through complexity and produce clear, structured output for executive audiences.

  • Clear communication: you can write a crisp one-pager that earns alignment without calling a meeting.

  • Collaborative by default: you share plans and pivots early, because in a system like Loop, few decisions are truly isolated.

Why Join Tempo?

  • Impact: Work on meaningful products that empower enterprise users and improve productivity.

  • Innovation: Be part of a culture that values creativity and innovation, with opportunities to make a real impact.

  • Collaboration: Join a supportive, collaborative team that values openness, communication, and a continuous learning environment.

  • Growth: Opportunities for professional development, including conferences, courses, and mentorship.
