About the Role
The Associate Fraud Analyst plays a critical role in protecting our merchants and their customers, reviewing flagged ecommerce orders and customer service cases in real time to distinguish legitimate shoppers from fraudulent activity. This role offers the opportunity to develop sharp analytical judgment and pattern-recognition skills, with a clear path to building full caseload speed and accuracy within the first few months on the team.
You will
- Review and take action on orders in the review queue, ramping up over your first three months toward a full daily volume, with senior analysts on the team reviewing 27+ orders per hour
- Support customer and merchant calls during scheduled phone shifts
- Identify and escalate emerging or unusual fraud patterns to the team
- Learn, retain, and apply analyst processes and procedures documented in Confluence
- Attend live team meetings and trainings, or review recordings promptly when unable to attend live
You have
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot patterns and anomalies in large volumes of information
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Solid research and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment under time pressure
- The ability to learn quickly, retain detailed processes, and apply training consistently
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment while staying accountable to team goals and deadlines
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and comfort navigating multiple systems and tools at once
- A high level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive customer and transaction data
- A results-driven, improvement-oriented mindset
- Prior experience in fraud, research, financial services, or another analytical field preferred
- Proficiency with G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and a stable, reliable internet connection
- Proficiency with Metabase is a plus
- Undergraduate degree is preferred, but not required
