Job Description:
MoCaFi is seeking a Freelance Graphic Design Assistant to join our creative team and help shape the brand’s visual identity. As a Freelance Graphic Design Assistant, you will work closely with MoCaFi’s Creative Director to support branding initiatives, content creation, and design projects across digital and print platforms. This is a great opportunity for a creative student or emerging designer eager to gain hands-on experience in branding, marketing, and financial technology.
As an integral part of our Marketing team, this role will report to the Creative Director.
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/week, 4-5 days/week
Compensation: $25-35/hour (depending on experience)
Note: This is a freelance position with a flexible commitment of at least 10+ hours per week. The role is remote, with optional in-person opportunities for those located in or near Union, NJ. The schedule is flexible, but availability for occasional meetings during standard business hours may be required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating brand-aligned designs for social media, marketing materials, website content, and presentations.
- Work within Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro/After Effects), and Canva to design assets.
- Edit and format video content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Maintain and organize MoCaFi’s design files and brand assets.
- Support the development of campaign visuals, templates, and UI/UX elements for digital projects.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure all designs align with MoCaFi’s brand identity.
Job Qualifications:
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Canva.
- Some experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects with attention to detail.
- Bonus: Motion graphics and/or Wordpress skills is a plus.
Preferred Background:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Digital Arts, or a related field.
- Students from Kean, Rutgers, NJIT, Parsons, or FIT are encouraged to apply.
