You will work closely with key members of the organization throughout the election cycle to research, prepare, and provide well-sourced, detailed information that confirms facts, adds context, and informs our national audience.
This flexible, 3-day-a-week role is a rare launchpad opportunity at America's most-watched news network.
Applicants should be available to the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and one weekend day per week.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retrieve, analyze, and confirm news information, facts, statistics, and contacts
- Produce briefing books and news backgrounders for reporters and producers
- Assist with providing information for special projects and planned events like Congressional hearings, elections, and town halls
- Proactively provide compelling information for Fox Facts and story pitches
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and demonstrated experience
- Strong political expertise
- Passion for research, current events, politics, and business
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including regular weekend hours, early mornings or evenings, and holidays
- Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis, Factiva, Accurint, and the internet
- Ability to identify primary sources
- Working in a team environment
