Job Description:

MoCaFi is seeking a Freelance Junior Designer to support our creative team on an as-needed, project-by-project basis. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented emerging designer who thrives in both collaborative and self-directed environments. As a Freelance Junior Designer, you will work closely with MoCaFi’s Creative Director to execute visual assets across digital platforms. Your work will help shape our growing brand identity and support everything from social media content and email design to marketing materials and product visuals.

As an integral part of our Marketing team, this role will report to the Creative Director. 

Time Commitment: 15-20 hours/week, 4-5 days/week
Compensation:  $25-35/hour (depending on experience)

Note: This is a freelance position with a flexible commitment of at least 15+ hours per week. The role is remote, with optional in-person opportunities for those located in or near Union, NJ (and/or Mid-Town NYC). The schedule is flexible, but availability for occasional meetings during standard business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design social media graphics, email assets, web banners, and marketing collateral in alignment with MoCaFi’s brand.
  • Work in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Canva to complete assignments.
  • Support development of branded presentations, documents, and light motion/video graphics (if skilled).
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and marketing team to bring ideas to life through compelling visual design.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and maintain organized design files.
  • Occasionally assist with photo/video editing and layout design.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, branding, layout, typography, and color.
  • Ability to take feedback, revise quickly, and work under deadlines.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Bonus: Motion graphics and/or Wordpress skills is a plus.

Preferred Background:

  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field.
