Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Freelance Senior Resource Manager to join our Omnicom production team. This senior-level role is critical in ensuring the seamless allocation of resources across all projects, optimizing workflow, and maintaining high standards of delivery in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader, an exceptional communicator, and thrives in tech tools and data. 

Location: NY (hybrid)
Reports To: Resource Management Director, Agency Producers
Employment Type: Freelance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the assignment of agency producers across multiple, concurrent projects to ensure optimal team utilization and successful capacity planning.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, production, and account teams to accurately understand project scopes, timelines, and resourcing requirements.
  • Critical thinker to help ensure projects are within scope. If not, able to help with pricing.
  • Forecast workload and resource needs, identifying potential gaps or bottlenecks, and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Lead weekly resource meetings, review project priorities, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain up-to-date resource plans in Workfront leveraging resource management tools to monitor capacity and availability across teams.
  • Support onboarding and integration of freelance and full-time talent as needed.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for resource allocation, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership on resource status and project progress.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key resource metrics to drive operational efficiency and support strategic decision making.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and solutions-oriented team culture, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Help with compliance by communicating closely with head of production

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in resource management, agency producer, or project management within an agency production environment.
  • Proven experience managing resource allocation for large, multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced agency or production setting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in resource management and scheduling tools (workfront and screendragon)
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to shifting demands.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with both in-house and freelance talent.
  • Familiarity with varied production workflows, including digital, print, experiential and video.

US Pay Range
$2,500$3,000 USD
