YOUR ROLE

We’re seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Senior Freelance Designer to support design needs across New Business, Marketing, Internal Communications, and key Client initiatives. This role is ideal for a designer who excels in presentation design, understands brand consistency, and can translate complex information into clean, compelling visuals.

You will play a key role in shaping how the agency shows up — visually, strategically, and creatively — across pitches, social content, internal moments, and high-stakes client meetings.

This role is covering a paternal leave with an expectation to join on a part time basis in March (20 hours a week), followed by full time (40 hours a week) from late April though August. 

This role is ideally seeking a candidate who is New York City based, who has some flexibility to work onsite with the team if needed.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Support

  • Design and build PowerPoint templates for pitch meetings and written submissions.
  • Design and format pitch decks and presentations (primarily in PowerPoint).
  • Create visual assets for pitch meetings such as team cards, agendas, name cards, placemats, leave-behinds, and other collateral.
  • Maintain and update agency credentials decks to reflect current capabilities and case studies.
  • Design and Develop Charts: Create visually compelling charts, graphs, and infographics for presentations, reports, dashboards, and digital platforms.
  • Data Visualization: Translate raw data into intuitive visual formats that communicate insights effectively.

Marketing & Internal Communications

  • Design internal agency presentations including all agency meetings and learning & development workshops.
  • Design social media graphics for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create signage, collateral, and visual materials for internal events, programs, and announcements.
  • Create templates for thought leadership one-sheets and white papers.
  • Basic video editing or animation is a plus.

Client Work

  • Design and/or format presentations for key client meetings, including sessions with CMOs, CEOs, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure client-facing materials meet brand guidelines and deliver a polished, executive-ready visual standard.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within an agency or marketing environment.
  • Expertise in PowerPoint; experience creating templates and high-impact presentation visuals.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma.
  • Strong eye for layout, typography, and brand consistency.
  • Ability to work quickly, manage parallel deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Portfolio showcasing presentation design and multi-format digital/print work.
