(w/ MrBeast Director + Producer)
Contract | $6K flat per video | Edit kickoff: week of May 18
We’re looking for a freelance YouTube editor to partner on a new series for a leading AI tech company, working closely with a top MrBeast director + producer.
This is a high-bar project and a chance to work on something that’s very intentionally built for YouTube performance.
We are explicitly looking for editors who understand retention editing:
Editing with a clear viewer retention strategy
Obsessing over the first 90 seconds
Making it impossible to click away
Structuring edits around curiosity, payoff, and escalation
Have experience editing YouTube-first content, preferably for multi-million view creator channels
Have a strong sense of pacing and story
Think about viewer experience and flow, not just visuals
Can take a structured concept and make it feel engaging and watchable throughout
Have worked on challenge-based formats or performance-driven YouTube content
Are proficient in motion design and graphics
Rate: $6,000 flat (per video)
Edit kickoff: Targeting week of May 18 (may shift slightly with production)
Opportunity for ongoing work if it’s a strong fit
If this sounds like your kind of project, we’d love to see your work!
Apply with:A few examples of videos you’ve edited
Anything that shows your sense of pacing / storytelling
