The Frontend Engineer will develop sophisticated components using TypeScript and React, ensure integration with smart contracts, and collaborate with backend teams to enhance digital asset management interfaces.
August is building institutional onchain infrastructure. Our first vertical is on-chain prime brokerage targeted at crypto-native institutions to enable an order of magnitude better capital efficiency. Our second vertical is Upshift, a vaults-as-a-service platform. We have raised a $16m between Seed and Series A from leading crypto and fintech investors. Our product is live with over $550m TVL and $45bn volume processed in 2025.
We are on the lookout for a skilled Frontend Engineer with a deep understanding of TypeScript, React, and direct interaction with smart contracts and blockchain transaction payloads. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting user interfaces that facilitate seamless integrations between the August platform and third party dApps. This role involves close collaboration with backend engineers and researchers to develop and launch institutional-grade products that boost capital efficiency, improve access to credit, and offer real-time risk monitoring.
- Architect and implement sophisticated frontend components using TypeScript and React, interfacing directly with smart contracts and wallet providers.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to create coherent, user-friendly interfaces for digital asset management and on-chain finance operations.
- Write clean, maintainable code adhering to best practices in TypeScript and React development.
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and performance of frontend applications.
- Participate in the continuous integration and deployment pipeline, enhancing the frontend aspect of the development process.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in frontend software development with a strong focus on TypeScript and React.
- Proven experience in building applications that interact directly with smart contracts, experience with Wallet connect SDK is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development tools and practices, including responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, and traditional finance systems is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
