We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to join our team in building the best software training product.
A bit about Strigo
Our mission is to make software training effective at scale.
Software training is critical in several markets: workforce development in corporations; customer education in tech companies; IT consultation firms; tech schools; and more.
Our motto is that effective software learning must be through hands-on practice on the software itself.
Our solution includes a Virtual Labs product that allows creating software sandboxes with an immersive learning experience; and a Virtual Classroom that allows hands-on practice and an interactive experience in-class.
We have dozens of customers among the leading companies in the world, from many verticals, that base their training delivery on our solution.
About the role
Your role will cover:
- Developing our web application end-to-end.
- Working in a mission-critical, customer-facing environment.
- Communicating with customers, for onboarding and troubleshooting.
- Contributing to our engineering culture and brand.
A note:
- We’re hybrid - many in the team work remotely, some are regularly in the office, and some are occasionally in the office. Even if you specifically don’t want to work remotely, you must feel comfortable with working in a remote environment.
What we’re looking for
Experience with:
- The JS web stack.
- Node and React specifically.
- Document-based databases (preferably MongoDB).
- Basic IT (Linux, containers, cloud, etc.).
- Basic development lifecycle (CI/CD, PRs, CRs, etc.)
About you:
- You feel comfortable with being autonomous and working alone, but know when to raise flags and ask for help.
- You can take ownership of tasks/projects end-to-end.
- You’re humble, pleasant, and put effort into communicating well.
- You feel comfortable with working remotely - communicating asynchronously, documenting a lot, etc.
- You have experience working in mission-critical, customer-facing, production environments.
