The Funding/Submission Specialist reviews application information, determines lender suitability, collaborates with team members, and maintains records in Salesforce while ensuring compliance and security.
This is a remote position.
Day-To-Day:
Your day-to-day activities will revolve around:
- Review and confirm application information
- Review waterfall documents to determine the appropriate lender for deal submission and ensure accurate allocation based on lender criteria.
- Send submissions to the lender through SalesForce
- Bank and financial statement file control in tandem with Ocrolus automation
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and other team members for efficient processing.
- Leverage analytical skills and think outside the box to navigate complex deal structures, identify potential roadblocks, and develop innovative solutions that drive deals to successful completion.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications, approvals, and denials in SalesForce as they come in
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to loan processing and underwriting.
- Adhere to compliance guidelines and internal policies to ensure a high level of integrity and risk management.
Requirements
About You
You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Strong understanding of the US financial industry, especially related to B2B finance
- Knowledge of credit ratings, their implications, and how they impact financing decisions
- Familiarity with basic standards and practices of financing in the U.S.
- One to two-plus years of experience working in small business funding (preferred but not required).
- Strong multitasking abilities in a high-energy/fast-paced environment.
- Effective and prioritization skills.
- Drive to deliver results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Salesforce experience is heavily preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
