Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an Investor Management Specialist for Alternative Products within our Funds Administration team. Join a growing team to support a rapidly growing area of business for BBH. With the increased focus on launching alternative products and expanding our investor fundraising channels, the Investor Management Specialist will play a key role in supporting these efforts. Investor Management involves onboarding, offboarding, and maintenance of investors in our Private Funds. In this role, you will learn the “why” and the “how” behind the operations and logistics of a Private Fund and gain an appreciation for creating a good client experience. You will gain exposure to all BBH Alternative Products, with a primary focus on Private Funds.
Investor Onboarding
- Coordinate investor onboarding process for BBH Private Funds: review investor preclearance requests; review subscription documents; compile investor data from various sources; log and communicate investor activity to various internal parties.
- Serve as liaison among relationship management teams, fund accounting, risk, compliance, and operational departments in onboarding investors to BBH Private Funds.
Investor Relationship Management
- Serve as primary contact for relationship teams to support their investment advisory clients in BBH Private Funds and for investors outside of BBH’s investment advisory business.
- Contact investors to support Private Fund activity, including capital calls, distributions, transfers of interest
- Serve as primary Know Your Customer coordinator to comply with anti-money laundering requirements. Outreach to investors can range from contacting a few investors to all investors in a fund depending on support necessary for Fund activity.
- Manage investor inquiries and coordinate input from internal stakeholders when necessary to support investor requests.
- Work closely with Fund administrator to troubleshoot client experience issues.
- Handle logistics of investor portal access with Fund administrator.
Investor Offboarding
- Review account closing requests for BBH Investment Advisory clients and provide guidance to the relationship teams on offboarding their clients’ with BBH Private Fund investments.
- Prepare offboarding packages and coordinate investor setup on our books and records for their offboarding.
Process Enhancements
- Identify processing gaps related to the onboarding and maintenance of investors in BBH Private Funds; present solutions to management and work to implement solutions.
- Create and maintain team procedures as needed.
- Support implementation of ongoing projects to improve investor experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Relevant client service experience
- Familiarity with alternative investment strategies and structures is a plus
- Ability to analyze complex issues and make sound decisions
- Effective collaboration and influencing skills
- Knowledge of BBH products, practices, and investment philosophy a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with a commitment to success
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
- Project management experience is highly preferable
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with Microsoft Excel required; Copilot experience is a plus
- Unquestionable integrity and character
Salary Range
NY: $75,000 - $85,000 base salary + target annual bonus

The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
