We're seeking someone to join our AFRM/COO team as a Director/AVP in GCC Management to help develop and drive agendas in line with the goal of the organization, liaise with business management and drive activities related to Accounting Firm Relationship Management (AFRM). The individual must be comfortable to step into an evolving organization, be a strategic partner and execute within tight timelines.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within the Finance Business Management job family which performs business management/CAO functions including headcount management, financials, people processes, executive communications, strategic support, divisional governance, regulatory support etc. Includes regional, location and department management and oversight.

What you'll do
-Drive selected GCC COO initiatives across communications, organizational programs, budgets, people engagement, internal content and other strategic or operational priorities.

-Assist with significant portfolio of Accounting Firm Relationship Management and GCC business-management deliverables, apply sound judgment and an advanced understanding of Finance processes, governance requirements and organizational global priorities.

-Serve as a key relationship-management contract for the Firm’s external auditors, coordinating with Finance, business units, Legal, Sourcing and other stakeholders to resolve engagement-related matters and support effective global execution.

-Manage engagement-letter and agreement governance, including independence reviews, commercial terms, fees, approvals and adherence to applicable internal controls throughout the agreement and payment lifecycle.

-Oversee auditor-related financial management, including budget development, funding approvals, accruals, allocations, invoice reviews, management reporting and analysis of actual results against approved plans.

-Proactively identify emerging risks, control gaps and process improvement opportunities, escalating significant matters and helping develop practical mitigation and remediation plans.

-Coordinate auditor governance and oversight activities, including management information, periodic assessment surveys, entitlements and materials supporting senior-management and governance reporting.

-Act as a role model and culture carrier, collaborating across functions, constructively challenging existing processes and holding yourself and others accountable to Firm standards.

-Assist with GCC related People Initiatives (Open Forums, Team Building, Volunteering events, Ad-hoc Communications)

-Internal Website maintenance activities

-Other Ad-hoc initiatives as required
What you'll bring to the role:
-Some understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment

-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with proficiency in Word and the ability to learn relevant workflow, reporting and governance systems

-Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
