The Opportunity:

Panther Life Sciences is reimagining how medicine is delivered through the skin. Our dissolvable microneedle array patch (MAP) technology allows precise, shelf-stable, and self-administered treatments that have the potential to change access to care on a global scale.

The Vice President, Therapeutics will lead Panther Therapeutics, shaping how our technology is applied to treat some of the world’s most pressing health challenges in immunology, oncology, dermatology, and beyond. This role is central to the next phase of Panther’s evolution and will define how our science moves from the lab to the clinic, and ultimately to patients.

This role will be responsible for building and executing Panther’s therapeutics business plan, identifying and developing the first set of therapeutic targets, and establishing the partnerships that will accelerate our entry into the market. This Executive will create a detailed business plan and corporate presentation, evaluate prior-approved therapeutic targets, secure strategic partnerships, and begin assembling the foundational team that will carry the work forward.

This role may be based in New York City, Seattle, or Pittsburgh and will require occasional business travel as needed. We offer relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage Panther Therapeutics with full P&L responsibility, driving strategy, execution, and growth.

  • Build and execute the therapeutics business plan, develop supporting materials for investor and partner presentations, and represent Panther Therapeutics’ strategy and market potential in fundraising discussions.

  • Develop commercial partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to bring MAP-based therapeutics to market.

  • Lead partner portfolio analysis and align Panther’s therapeutic pipeline with the highest-priority opportunities across immunology, dermatology, oncology, and related areas.

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Establish relationships with payment providers, treatment developers, and strategic investors.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the CEO, CTO, VP of R&D, VP of Finance, and VP of People to align business, science, and operational execution.

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performance team as Panther Therapeutics scales.

  • Define KPIs and deliver measurable outcomes including products developed, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, profitability, and team performance.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

  • Proven credibility with both scientific and business development teams in pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience with disruptive, sector-leading product development.

  • P&L management experience and a strong record of driving profitability and growth.

  • Established business network, ideally within immunology or dermatology.

  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization models and strategic partnerships.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and experience managing partnerships with global pharmaceutical leaders.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup environment while maintaining strategic discipline and scientific rigor.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in science, technology, or engineering; (particularly Immunology, Dermatology, Neurology).

  • Background or academic focus in immunology, dermatology, or neurology.

  • Experience working directly with CRO, quality, and regulatory systems.

  • Prior experience mentoring or developing high-performing teams.

  • International exposure, particularly in Europe (France, Germany) or Asia (Korea, Japan, China).

  • Track record of building long-term strategic relationships and partnerships.

  • Passion for innovation, excellence, and societal impact.

  • High integrity, curiosity, and adaptability in high-growth environments.
