We currently have a role available for a Genomics Scientist to join our New York City team.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement sequencing applications related to NGS, cell-free, single-cell, and FFPE sequencing.
    • Prior experience or RT-PCR and sequencing is a must.
    • Broad experience with multiple nucleic acid and protein expression platforms, including assay design and development would be advantageous.
  • Support existing and novel targeted panel development NGS.
    • Must be able to follow SOPs and communicate effectively with team members.
    • Experience with high content, high throughput laboratory workflows is desirable.
  • Work interactively with project teams and discovery informatics to interpret data and ensure proper documentation and archiving of data analyses.
    • Data analysis capabilities using R and Python would be beneficial.
  • Communicate results at project team meetings, be involved in the coordination and preparation of presentations as needed.
  • Engage in extensive cross-functional communication and collaboration with internal teams.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • MS-Molecular Biology or related field with 1+ years of lab experience, preferably pharma.  BS-Molecular/Cellular Biology or related field with 3+ years of lab experience outside of academia will also be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Benchling.
  • Team player mentality with strong written and verbal communication skills. Will be required to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics.
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and details oriented, with the skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
