What will you be doing
- Oversee and manage the company's global accounting operations and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP and local statutory standards across 14 international entities.
- Direct an international team of approximately 15 finance professionals—primarily based in India—and manage complex multi-entity statutory requirements.
- Drive continuous process improvements, leveraging modern software and AI-driven tools (e.g., NetSuite, FloQast, Tipalti, Concur) to automate workflows and shorten close timelines.
- Ensure all financial transactions and reporting meet rigorous government regulations and compliance along with board, bank, and investor reporting standards.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to gather financial data and support operational objectives.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a growing team of accounting professionals, guiding them through change management and operational scaling.
- Implement and refine accounting policies and procedures to support company growth and operational scalability.
What you bring
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and hands-on experience in multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction financial consolidations and local statutory reporting for global subsidiaries.
- Big 4 public accounting background combined with experience in high-growth, hyperscaler, or brand-name technology environments.
- Proven appetite and track record for process automation, workflow optimization, and modernizing manual accounting environments.
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP and familiarity with modern accounting technologies (e.g., FloQast, Concur, Tipalti).
- Strong background in managing day-to-day accounting operations including AP, T&E, leases, commissions, corporate card, expense policy management, month-end close, and GL management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial data to executive leadership and board members.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Active CPA or CMA certification required.
- Big 4 public accounting experience required.
- Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role within a growing technology or SaaS company.
- Preferred location: US East Coast or Central time zone (for optimal daily collaboration with our India-based team).
